Night School #176: Ken Berry

7:00pm, 1-12-2018
<< Night School

Tonight on Night School, it is my honor to host Ken Berry. Like many guests on the show, Ken’s legacy is not easy to sum up. An administrator, artist, arts advocate, educator, entrepreneur, mentor, archivist and musical director, Ken has served tirelessly at the intersection of arts and education for the better part of the past five decades. You may recognize his voice from KGW radio or his face from a PCC ad on the side of a Trimet bus. His contributions to our community are everywhere…and he even played in a funk band back in the day!

This evening we’ll discuss Ken’s work w/ World Arts Foundation, Inc.’s 33rd annual tribute to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. WAFI was established in 1978 to promote and preserve African-American contributions to the American culture, and to support community education through the interface of arts and education. The organization’s King program is a work of art in itself. Tune in for what promises to be an enlightening broadcast.
