Chief Redheart Memorial Fort Vancouver April 2023

Join Steena Trecha as she interviews Nez Perce Elders and Mayor Ann McEnerny-Oogle at the annual Chief Redheart Memorial held at Fort Vancouver every April. This annual public event brings together descendants of the Redheart Band of the Nez Perce along with descendents of the Wood Family to commemorate this tragic event and to show an example of how we can come together and learn from the past to build our future together.
