Flame: Vintage Vinyl Dance Party🔥 blazes back onto the Portland nightlife scene with The Spirit of '66! The year 1966 was historic for hot dance records made for Go-Go nightclubs and discotheques!
Let me swing you into '66 with sizzlin' sides by the likes of The Ikettes, Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66, Gladys Knight & the Pips, The Kinks, Brenda Lee, Wilson Pickett, Lulu, The Creation, The Supremes, and SO many other legends and shoulda-been-superstars!
Familiar Faves and Rarities!
As always, we gather in love, lift each other up, and recharge our souls as we take a break from the troubles of the day and get lost on the dance floor!
Dress in threads that invoke the spirit of the event (however you choose to interpret it.)
We danced our way into summer by celebrating the 50th anniversary of dance records from 1976. NOW, we'll flip into Fall by celebrating the 60th anniversary of dance records from 1966!
➡️ Like most DJ Action Slacks dance parties, this event is open to all kind-hearted people, but is geared toward the Portland LGBTQmunity & its allies
➡️ ➡️ Usually my Kenton Club parties are on first Saturdays but I had a scheduling conflict so THIS first party of my indoor dance season lands on a second FRIDAY.
