Hana Francis is co-anchor, producer, and engineer of The Commons, XRAY.FM's Monday morning news talk show. The show has been live for two years, and is currently co-anchored by Julia Moore.
Hana also hosts and edits Street Roots Radio, an audio collaboration between local publication Street Roots, and XRAY.FM.
Hana was the Interim News Director for KBOO during the summer of 2025, and now freelances in Portland.
Hana's work is most motivated by social and environmental justice;. She has experience working on projects concerning social movements, climate change, impacts of wild fire, the housing crisis, and mental health.
Through journalism, Hana hopes to bridge the gaps between individuals and their communities - strengthening our connections and collective power.
